The Misdemeanor Intake Section is responsible for the intake, preparation, filing, and assignment of all misdemeanor cases. In addition, this section will screen arrest cases and if more serious charges are needed, will contact trial court prosecutors who will either file the case or present it to a Montgomery County Grand Jury. The section is staffed with three legal assistants and two investigators.
