The Montgomery County District Attorney, Brett Ligon, in partnership with Constable Rowdy Hayden and Sheriff Tommy Gage has established a DWI RID Team to remove our county's most dangerous drivers from our roads. The most frequently committed dangerous crime in our county is DWI and by focusing on these most wanted individuals, we hope to make our streets safer. The intent of the program is to focus on our repeat offenders, those who have absconded from the court, or those who have committed felony DWI cases from Intoxication Manslaughter to DWI with a Child Passenger. The Team is composed of the District Attorney, Vehicular Crimes Section prosecutors, MCDA investigators under Chief Investigator Chris Smith, Montgomery County Sheriff Tommy Gage’s SWAT deputies, and law enforcement officers from Constable Hayden's apprehension units..
The Vehicular Crimes chief reviews hundreds of warrants for these offenders and selects the most wanted list from this group of individuals with felony warrants. The candidates are then transferred to the Chief Investigator for research. After the research project is complete, the wanted person is added to the list and arrest teams begin searching for the suspect.
You can view suspect charging information below including the suspect's name, photograph, and type of arrest warrant pending. All suspects who have not been convicted should be considered potentially dangerous. Therefore, please do not attempt to arrest the individual yourself. Please contact the District Attorney's Office at our DWI hotline, by calling 936.539.7800, or by emailing us at DWI.RIDTEAM@MCTX.ORG to report information. You may also contact Montgomery County Crimestoppers with relevant information. Rewards may be offered by Crimestoppers for the arrest and conviction of some of these individuals, but please contact that group since we do not have access to their information.
All suspects who have not been convicted are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The displayed information is meant to relay that probable cause has been found by a judge or a grand jury for their arrest. It is our goal to have these individuals arrested as soon as possible in the safest manner possible. It is our intent and goal to keep your information anonymous.
