Trial Bureau


The Trial Bureau of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office consists of personnel divided into four division, the Felony Trial Division, the Misdemeanor Trial Division, the Special Crimes Division, and the Special Victims Division.

Legal Services Bureau


The Legal Services Bureau of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office consists of personnel divided into the Intake Section and the Appellate Section. These bookend sections play critical roles at the start and the conclusion of criminal cases.

Trial Bureau

 

Felony Trial Division

This Division prosecutes all felony offenses assigned to the four District Courts of Montgomery County that have jurisdiction over felony offenses.

Misdemeanor Trial Division

This Division prosecutes all misdemeanor offenses assigned to the three County Courts and five Justice Courts of Montgomery County.

Special Crimes Division

This Division investigates and prosecutes Public Integrity Crimes, Financial Crimes and Asset Forfeiture, Environmental Crimes, and Vehicular Crimes.

Special Victims Division

This Division investigates and prosecutes Sexual and Physical Abuse of Children, Internet Crimes Against Children, and Domestic Violence.

 

Legal Services Bureau

 

Intake & Grand Jury

This Section is generally responsible for the filing of all felony cases and all Class A & B misdemeanor cases filed in the District Courts and County Courts at Law of Montgomery County.

Appellate & Writs

This Section handles the appeals of all criminal cases arising from the District Courts and County Courts at Law of Montgomery County on behalf of the State of Texas.

 

 

Office Administration

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office employs administrative staff and legal assistants to run the daily operations of the office, and aid the Assistant District Attorney’s with daily court functions.
