Nancy Hebert, Division B Chief Prosecutor
As Chief of Division B, Nancy supervises the prosecutors assigned to Special Victims; Internet Crimes Against Children & Human Trafficking; Domestic Violence; and Financial Crimes & Forfeiture / Elder Abuse.
Nancy graduated from the University of Houston and South Texas College of Law. Nancy began her legal career working for Fisher, Gallagher & Lewis and then Maloney, Martin & Mitchell, as a Plaintiff lawyer for approximately 8 years before joining the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in 2003.
During her time with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Nancy has served as a Chief Prosecutor over Special Victims and the Chief Prosecutor over Financial Crimes & Forfeiture/ Elder Abuse.
She is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2013.
The Special Victims Division consists of the following sections: Special Victims, Domestic Violence, Internet Crimes Against Children, Human Trafficking, Child Exploitation, Elder Abuse, and Financial Crimes. The Prosecutors, Investigators, and support staff assigned to these sections are involved with the investigations of these crimes and handle them all the way through prosecution.
Special Victims
The Special Victims Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office works closely with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to investigate and prosecute crimes involving physical and sexual abuse of children.
Domestic Violence
The Domestic Violence Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office handles Class A Misdemeanor and certain felony Assault cases involving domestic and intimate partner violence based on the specialized needs and concerns in such cases.
I.C.A.C., Human Trafficking, & Child Exploitation
The Internet Crimes Against Children, Human Trafficking, and Child Exploitation Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office works with State, Local, and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies to protect children and apprehend dangerous offenders.
Financial Crimes & Forfeiture, Elder Abuse
The Financial Crimes, Asset Forfeiture, and Elder Abuse Section of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office investigates and prosecutes complex financial crimes, civil asset forfeiture cases, and offenses involving the abuse, neglect, or exploitation of elderly victims.
